Heading Home!

We got to go home today! It's hard to believe they trust us outside of the hospital with these guys. :-) We made it home around 3pm this afternoon and the boys were asleep when we got home. They seemed to be really content in the car on the drive home. Aunt Heather got to be the one to sit in the back seat and keep an eye on them during the car ride. So, we are settling in to being here and having a great time. The boys have already tried out their new swing and bouncy seat. We'll see how the first night goes.

More pictures

We have had a pretty good day today...still trying to get all this feeding down. We have been able to get a little rest thanks to lots of help from family (we are so thankful to have both parents in town). There are just so many fun pictures to post so here are just a few of the favorites. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do. We are off to try to get some rest.

They already have a strong grip!

First 24 hours

The first day of life was busy for our little guys but they are doing well. Sara is feeling much better today already and went for a little walk around the hallway. She got to eat a big, full breakfast too! Here are a few more pictures for now:

Doctor's appt update

We had another doctor appointment yesterday and everything continues to look great and check-out wonderful. Sara is still feeling well and the babies seem to be growing stronger (and bigger) each day. We've been doing a few small things around the house to make sure we are as "ready" as possible. We got the swing and bouncy seat assembled and working (thanks "J")!
The doctor also scheduled a C-section date for Sara in the event these guys don't show up before then. They schedule it once she has made it to 38-weeks, so...Sept. 18th is the date! We still feel they will come before then and the doctor even joked that now that we've scheduled something they will come earlier so we'll see what happens. Hope everyone had an awesome Labor Day weekend!

36 weeks

Sara is 36 weeks today...who knew we would ever make it to 36 weeks! With the new milestone, the doctors have taken her off of all medicine and are pretty much at the point now that once things start happening again there won't be any stopping this time. So, we are ready any day I guess.
Meanwhile, the US Open started this week and is in full swing. With Sara on bed-rest, watching the great matches has pretty much become her daily ritual. There have been a bunch of upsets already so we've seen lots of drama. Stay tuned...

Doctor's appt

We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything checked out great! Both of the boys as well as Sara got five stars for everything. We had a growth ultrasound done to measure both boys and see how they are doing and let's just say it seems they are top notch. Baby A measured in at an estimated 6lbs 11 oz and Baby B measured in at an estimated 7 lbs 1 oz. So, needless to say if those estimates are even close those growing boys seem to be doing well. I think I've figured out why they are doing so well!
The babies heartbeats look great and we saw both of them practicing their breathing which is good. All in all it was a great visit. In fact, the doc said since we were doing so well that we don't have to go back for another week. Sara stays on her medicine and is still on bed-rest (the US Open started yesterday so she's okay with the rest for now!) through Friday and if she makes it that far we'll see what's next.
